Jerusalem: The Song of Deeds

This year Summer Festival includes a World Premiere as part of its programme - Jerusalem: the Song of Deeds.
The cast, creative & production teams have been in rehearsals for several weeks now and the results of their efforts are really special, as was witnessed in yesterday's dress rehearsal. The story of Parzefal and Mira is touching and believable, whilst characters like King Tafur and Bohemond are terrifying. And in amongst the gripping plot lines, Peter Arnott manages to throw in a good few laughs as well as some catchy numbers ("glory glory!", loved that). Top all of this off with a beautifully skillful set design, plus the odd special effect and you've got what's going to be a bit of an epic production. That's all I'm saying, don't want to spoil the element of surprise. So get your tickets here. And hope you like the photos. Courtesy of Douglas Robertson.
